Law - General Historical Timeline
Before America, there was the evolution of the Law - though we are not taught from whence it came
Foreword:
The following is a very truncated account of how invasions/empires, conquest, faith, and religion influenced the law that became the basis for the original American and Constitutional government. The ultimate goal is to give a foundation to understand Common Law (which has been replaced with maritime and admiralty law in our united nation-states) and how you, as a man or woman, can come forward with full responsibility and accountability and protect your rights, express your authority, and protect your property. There is not magic white-hats coming to save you. You can only save yourself by understanding the Law (not to be confused with “legal”). By having an absence of understanding where we came from, the rules by which the oppressors manipulate, and that there is order if we know how to stop relying on others to represent us, we then will be able to crawl out from under the rock we placed on ourselves by voluntary (albeit coercive and subversive by the current oppressors) submission and take back our freedom. Tools will be forthcoming.
Within each man or woman there is all the authority of the Creator. The great trick by the oppressors is to convince each man or woman to believe in nothing and no Creator. This trick gives a foundation that facilitates the mechanisms put in place by the global oppressors to control the masses of man and woman. At the same time these same oppressors (the arrogant bloodline and power hungry families comprising the Bank of International Settlements, Federal Reserve, Legal Society, Blackrock, Vanguard, WEF, WHO, etc…) “semi-secretly” believe in the Creator and yet worship the counter entity and ego (call it satan, baal, the evil one, etc…). These globalist war mongers think they can beat the Creator and humanity through some misplaced belief that the rest of us are unworthy of being on this world, and if any of us are left after “the great culling”, the oppressors create a permanent slave class of the remnant. The list of oppressors and the “legal” side is well outlined in Bailiwick News posts by Katherine Watts. You can also follow Dr David Martin, Catherine Austin Fitts, and many others to get up to speed on the legal world and that jurisdictional entrapment.

History and Law Before America - Rome
Can you imagine in today’s world of creature comforts and entitlements, making the decision to get on a leaking wooden ship made for a journey around Europe for trade, and instead using it to cross the Atlantic looking for a better route to trade with India? Or even more astounding, traveling from the Scandinavian countries across the Atlantic at least 500 years before the voyage of Christopher Columbus to pillage the Native Americans and make the trip back, all to do it again? How about the Puritan Separatists and the journey of the Mayflower holding twice the people the ship was designed to transport on a 3 week voyage that turned into almost 2 months at sea? Can you imagine this voyage being instigated by the persistent persecution of you and your family because you did not believe in a pope and a king?
“In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.” Judges 17:6
The man attributed with the initial “discovery” of the Americas before Columbus, was Leif-Ericson who explored the North American East Coast around 1000 AD. Much of the early Anglo-Saxon law in Britain was built around Norwegian influenced shire law as noted in the last article. These same countrymen made remote homes in France (including Normandy where William the Conqueror - also of northern European decent - left to make his claim to the English throne in 1066 due to a promise from King Edward the Confessor) and other parts of Europe and traveled as far as the early Americas way before anyone else.
Excluding the Siberian Hunters from the ice age, Ancient Monks from Ireland, Vikings and Polynesians of the first century through 1000 AD; Christopher Columbus (born in Genoa, Italy 1451 – 1506) is attributed with the most significant exploration of the Americas. And most specifically, the Caribbean islands.
“Columbus’ voyage departed in August of 1492 with 87 men sailing on three ships: the Niña, the Pinta, and the Santa María. Columbus commanded the Santa María, while the Niña was led by Vicente Yanez Pinzon and the Pinta by Martin Pinzon. This was the first of his four trips. He headed west from Spain across the Atlantic Ocean. On October 12 land was sighted. He gave the first island he landed on the name San Salvador, although the native population called it Guanahani.” Phillips and Phillips, The Worlds of Christopher Columbus, 155.
Prior to this America discovery, and in order to understand the influence of the law of mankind as American Common Law, we need to explore the origins of the shire influence in England by the Anglo-Saxons, the Catholic churches designation of Air, Land, and Sea jurisdictions and the influence of the Church of England on the settlers that eventually came to America.
First, it is important to realize that the Roman Empire had influence in Britain going back to the same century as Yahusha (Christ - a good description and translation breakdown described here: https://www.disciplemakingpastor.org/pdf/names.pdf and here: https://www.disciplemakingpastor.org/pdf/The_name_of_the_Father_and_Son.pdf).
The Roman Empire was vast and its reach included much of the Middle East, the Mediterranean (north and south), and as far Northwest as England. In 50 AD, Emporer Claudius invaded Britain, and Britain remained in occupation by Rome until 407 AD. During this time period the influence of Roman Christianity also spread to all corners of the empire. This is because Christianity, with the heavy Israelite/Jewish influence of the Bible’s Old Testament and Laws grew during this same period within Rome and its empire after the crucifixion of Yahusha.
However; it was not an easy transition. The fall of Jerusalem and the control of the Roman Empire by Nero the Beast made for a very slow and challenging start to early Christianity. Both Paul (beheaded) and Peter (Crucified) were persecuted and put to death by Emperor Nero around 68 AD. Koester, C. R. (2016). The number of the beast in revelation 13 in light of papyri, graffiti, and inscriptions. Journal of Early Christian History, 6(3), 1–21. https://doi.org/10.1080/2222582x.2016.1218996
As the Roman Empire grew, so did the influence of the Apostles and eventually the Catholic Church. This was even with Roman intermittent persecution of Christians as the push-and-pull of polytheism (Greek-Roman) and Christianity struggled for a foothold as the dominant religion until the 4th century when Christianity took its place as the dominant force.
“And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:18
According to The Moody Handbook of Theology, the official beginning of the Roman Catholic church occurred in 590 AD, with Pope Gregory I. However, the empire was heavily influenced by Christianity much earlier and took it on as the official religion of the empire, and as a result, spurred the establishment of monasteries and churches throughout the regional influence of Rome.
The Roman Empire legally recognized Pauline Christianity as a valid religion in 313 AD. Later in that century, in 380 AD, Roman Catholicism became the official religion of the Roman Empire. During the following 1000 years, Catholics were the only people recognized as Christians. “A Concise History of the Roman Catholic Church”; https://www.learnreligions.com/roman-catholic-church-history-700528; by: Mary Fairchild, Updated on June 25, 2019.
So, when we first review Law, we must understand that Israelite/Christian (and Islam after the birth and life of Mohammed, 570-632 AD) Old Testament Law were the roots for influence as Rome expanded and the world looked at faith and moral decisions. This combined with Roman Law set some basic practices with one end being no-king or emperor, only Christ, the Holy Spirit and the Creator; and the other end being Democracy (majority rule) and senate power with polytheism origins.
Northern European Influence
The next question becomes how did the Northern European influence get to Britain?
In the 5th and 6th centuries Pagan peoples the Saxons, Angles, and Jutes from Germany and Denmark invaded southern and eastern England and gradually conquered most of England. Tim's History of British Towns, Cities and So Much More; A history of Christianity in England; Tim Lambert; Local Histories, https://localhistories.org/a-history-of-christianity-in-england/; Septmeber 25, 2022
The various Anglo-Saxon kingdoms were founded by immigrants from northern continental Europe who landed and settled in different parts of England during the 5th and 6th centuries. The numerous early settlements, described in the 11th century Tribal Hidage[1], grouped together over time into seven main kingdoms. The kingdom of Kent was settled principally by Jutes, the kingdoms of East Anglia and Northumbria by Angles, and the kingdoms of Essex (East Saxons), Mercia, Sussex (South Saxons) and Wessex (West Saxons) mainly by Saxons, although the precise origin of the settlers is open to debate… England, Anglo-Saxon and Danish Kings: Foundation for Medieval Genealogy; v4.3 Updated 26 July 2022
The Northern Europeans conquered most of England by 6th century AD, with the exception of the native Celts in Ireland and Scotland who were largely isolated from influence of the Anglo-Saxons. However, the early Roman Christian church had a heavy influence. As the Romans left and the Anglo-Saxons took over England, the Celts were cut-off from the Roman church and established the Celtic Christian Church without the heavy Roman political mindset.
The Saxons had a heavy pagan influence on the island, but they were slowly converted to Christianity over the next few centuries until the Danes invaded in the late 9th century. Then Alfred the Great, in 878 defeated the Danes, and England was split east and west with an agreement for the Dane’s conversion to Christianity.
From the time of the early 6th century until the turn of the millennium (1000 AD), the local communities, both secular and spiritual, dealt with their own people and leaned heavily on the Old Testament teachings of the church, secular (non-spiritual) moral codes, and Christianity to determine what was best for the families and groups of families. This is where the first article in this series begins the understanding of local county law.

The local and county shire or tithing law was the earliest form of community law that was the basis for our local assembly construct. Moral codes and enforcement of the peace was decided by the community prior to the feudal system in England being the primary rule of law.
“The death of Edward the Confessor, King of England, initiated a brief period of conflict between the various claimants to his throne that irrevocably changed the country of England. Immediately following the death of Edward, Earl Harold Godwinson was elected and crowned king by the English nobility. He became known as King Harold II.” https://www.houseofnames.com/blogs/Norman-Conquest
Initially the Norwegians attacked England and were eventually defeated by King Harold at Stamford Bridge. Then the Normans attacked from the south immediately following and the exhausted ranks of Harold’s forces, after trekking south to meet William’s forces, were beaten and Duke William of Normandy took the throne.
William the Conqueror ushered in the feudal system and removed land from the Anglo-Saxon people – and the Norse/French/Anglo-Saxon bloodline persists in England today.
The Magna Carta helped renew the local control that was inverted through the king’s court and the nobles and clergy (mostly Roman Catholic influence). Shire courts and the Hundred courts disappeared to a large extent in the king’s rule after William the Conqueror in 1066 AD. At the local level there was still use of the regular interval meetings (monthly) to decide local concerns, however, the kings control of the sheriffs and nobles turned local moral law into political king’s law. This was also similar to the original Roman (Canon) Law. There were some attempts to win favor of the people by re-instituting some of these shire customs through King Henry I and Henry II. These began a more constitutional form of government with the king’s court being composed of the nobles and clergy set up as 12 men jural courts deciding and testifying to local, regional and kingdom affairs.
From the final version of the Magna Carta in 1297 through the reign of Queen Elizabeth (1559), the church and Christian faith went through many revisions including the Protestant Revolution, fundamentalists with the Puritans and Puritan Separatists, and eventually the combination of the Catholic/Protestant/Puritan influences into The Church of England. This included the “The Act of Six Articles” which were the rules for The Church of England and “The Act of Supremacy” and “The Oath of Supremacy” which placed the Monarch as head of the church, theoretically appointed by God, and anyone in a public office swearing allegiance to the Monarch as the head of the church respectively.
One should be able to begin to see where many of our founding principles originated. The ten-tithing shire courts became our local and county courts. The States were recognized as individual nations with their control coming from the local assemblies. The Oath of Office was inverted so that instead of an oath to the Monarch and the Church, the oath is to the Creator (so help me God), to the people by the public servants holding elected offices, and the constitutions (contract to the subcontractors) formed by the people (taken partially from the Magna Carta to ensure property ownership).
Roman Influence
Canon Law is directly based on Roman Law and is the foundation of the air and sea (maritime and admiralty) jurisdictions that we primarily see in our courts today. Basically, this merged as the Catholic church took control of the politics and money after recognition as an official faith by Rome 330-380 AD. The church grew with power as it amassed wealth through gifts and transfer of money, and with it, the similarly organized Canon Law from the Roman Law format. Because of this influence, when at court, there are 12 presumptions that must be rebuked and rejected for the common man to maintain jurisdiction, and so air and sea jurisdiction is not assumed of the man or woman who is pressing a claim. The Twelve Presumptions of Court
To further expand the church’s control, in 1302, Pope Boniface established the world's first and largest Express Trust called the "Unam Sanctam" Trust which led to the Roman Catholic Church organizing the entire world accordingly, and over the next few centuries, created three jurisdictions: air, land, and sea. . VIII, P. B. (2017, April 27). UNAM sanctam. Papal Encyclicals. Retrieved January 29, 2023, from https://www.papalencyclicals.net/bon08/b8unam.htm. If not of the church, the church could determine your fate.
The premise was Christ died for all sins. And the Roman Catholic Church claimed to be trustee of all in the earthly realm for the heavenly realm, and to be Christ on earth as the “Vicar”. However; by the death of Christ all has been paid (sins, debts, losses) for eternity as he gave his life in blood to save ours and the entire earth. That is for everyone on earth who believes and all jurisdictions. At the moment, the Roman Catholic church still claims all realms based on this trust creation. However; the Law of Heaven is in force on Earth: to keep the peace, to love each other, and to do no harm. This is the basis for Common Law as given by the Creator through his son; and the basis of our government in America. Prosperity comes from the Creator through the sacrifice of his son and guidance of the Holy Spirit; and we must make the choice to be fully accountable and responsible to enjoy His promises and eliminate the Doctrine of Scarcity.
Our easy lives have created a complacency that leads to forgetting this founding idea that the Puritans risked their lives (and many died) to foster in the New World. In some cases, those of humanity outright renounce the beliefs that our country was founded upon which has led to an easily corrupted court system. The only way to stop the oppression is to reclaim your status and understand the founding of Common Law so you can stand in your authority and claim your rights and property against all trespasses.
Next Stop - America Settlers, Land Ownership, and Puritan Influence
We will explore the history of America from 1492 (eluded to in the beginning of this article) to the founding of the documents that led to the creation of our Constitutions. There is much more than most were ever taught in school. The big ah-ha should be around the concept of the return to the belief that there is no need for kings required, as the Creator initially showed the Israelites (yet they eventually rejected), and we can govern ourselves much like the shire courts of old. This country was founded on a promise to the Creator and the protection of rights and property of the individual. Government was instituted for one purpose; to protect those principles and the rights of man. Common Law is still in effect.
